Reward announced for tips in southwest Detroit slaying

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward for tips to find a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting last summer on Detroit’s southwest side.
Patrick Collins was arriving with a friend in the 1500 block of Annabelle about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11 when "an unknown suspect approached the vehicle, and opened fire," investigators said in a statement.
Collins was struck, and the driver fled, according to the release. The 38-year-old lawn care worker was transported to an area hospital but died from his injuries.
