Man, 46, slain outside gas station on Detroit's west side

Detroit — A 46-year-old man was found dead, having been shot, outside a gas station on Detroit's west side, police said.

The man's body was discovered about 3:25 a.m. at a Citgo station on the 19800 block of West McNichols. That's just east of Evergreen.

Police say the victim was found inside his 2003 Pontiac Grand AM. 

The circumstances preceding the fatal shooting are not immediately known. Nor do police immediately have a suspect description to offer.
