Situation with woman with gun on Detroit's west side ends peacefully

Detroit — Detroit police say a situation at a home in the area of Burt and Dover on the city's west side where a woman with a gun had refused to come out has ended peacefully.
According to police, a woman suffering from a mental health crisis called 911.
When the officers arrived, the woman was holding a firearm and retreated into the home, police said.
Mental health experts and negotiators at the scene helped bring the situation to a peacefully resolution several hours later, officials said, and she was taken to a hospital.
