Warren police looking for woman, man in hit-and-run crash

Warren — Police are looking for a woman and man in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 62-year-old woman dead Monday morning.

The female victim was a passenger in a 1998 Toyota Camry that was hit by a 1995 Jeep on Hoover near Nine Mile around 5:50 a.m., Mayor James Fouts. Three other women were in the Camry when it was struck. It is not known if they suffered injuries.

The female driver of the Jeep, who was accompanied by a male passenger, jumped out of the vehicle and ran following the crash. She and the male passenger are being sought in the incident.

The name of the 62-year-old victim has not yet been released. Fouts said the only description of the driver of the Jeep is that she is an African-American female with dreadlocks.
