Warren Mott student pulled from school pool

Warren — A 16-year-old student is in stable condition Monday afternoon after being pulled unresponsive from the swimming pool at Warren Mott High School.

According to the Warren Consolidated School District, the incident occurred at about 11:15 a.m. during gym class when the male student passed out and then sank to the bottom of the pool.

Friends of the sophomore notified the CPR certified teacher and the student was pulled from the pool and resuscitated. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

The school is located at 3131 12 Mile.
