Robbers flee Mount Clemens home in victim’s Cadillac

The Detroit News

Mask-wearing robbers restrained an elderly Mount Clemens woman in her home Tuesday, loaded stolen items into her Cadillac and fled in the car.

The 67-year-old woman told police she was returning to her house on Court Street at about 11:30 p.m. when three men came from behind the house and forced her inside. Two of the men had guns.

The men, who were approximately 20-30 years old, spent an hour ransacking her home, then demanded her car keys. She told Macomb County Sheriff’s Department deputies she had seen the three get out of a car nearby earlier that evening.

All three wore blue jeans and tennis shoes. One wore a brown Carhartt jacket and a yellow neoprene mask. The other two had black masks.

The woman’s car is a white 1992 Cadillac with a blue vinyl top and a Michigan license plate that reads BOXIII.
