A 25-year-old man arrested Thursday night after he allegedly fatally stabbed his roommate was arraigned Friday, Warren police said.

Christopher Ford, 25, of Warren, was charged with manslaughter, a 15 year felony. He was held over in the Macomb County Jail on a $100, 000 bond, said police.

His next court appearance is April, 9 before Judge John Chmura at 8:30 a.m.

The suspect had been living with his girlfriend’s brother at a home in the 8100 block of Fisher, near Eight Mile, Lt. Dan Novak said.

Shortly before 10 p.m., the pair became embroiled in “some type of a dispute, and that’s what triggered” the attack, Novak said.

The 37-year-old roommate was stabbed in the back and torso with a knife, he said.

The victim, Timothy Lamkin, was rushed to St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit, where he died, Novak said.

Ford was arrested at the home on Fisher without incident, Novak said.
