A woman faces felony charges after Saint Clair Shores police say she falsely reported that she was robbed and attacked in a grocery store parking lot.
On Saturday Kelly Parsons reported that an unknown male robbed her in the parking lot of the Kroger at 13 Mile and Harper, according to police. She reported that the man hit her in the head and took her wedding ring from her finger.
Further investigation revealed that the incident didn’t happen, police said Tuesday.
Parsons was arraigned before 40th District Court Judge Joseph Oster on a charge of false report, which is a felony punishable by up to four years in prison and/ or a $2,000 fine. She received a $10,000 personal bond.
