Harrison Township man charged in bar altercation

A Harrison Township man has been charged in an incident early Saturday morning at a Mount Clemens bar.

Lt. John Michalke of the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said Ramiz Gigic was arrested after a loaded .38 caliber "Rohm" revolver was found in his car by police who responded to a call about an assault at Madison's Pub.

A 22-year-old Mount Clemens man told police that he and Gigic, 45, exchanged words. As Gigic walked past him, he pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the younger man's stomach and called him a name, Michalke said.

After reporting the incident to the bar staff, police were called. Gigic left the bar and walked to his car. When he tried to get back into Madison's, security wouldn't let him.

Deputies arrived and found the gun in Gigic's Ford Edge, Michalke said, and arrested him. He has been charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony that carries a four-year term, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon, a five-year felony.

After being taken to the Macomb County jail, Gigic has posted a $10,000 bond and has been released, Michalke said.
