Roseville police looking for 2 who robbed jewelry store
Roseville — Police are on the lookout for two armed men who robbed a jewelry store Wednesday morning, slightly injuring an employee who fought back.
According to the Roseville Police Department, the incident occurred at about 10:50 a.m. at the store located in the 27000 block of Gratiot.
According to police, two suspects entered the store and spoke to an employee about a ring. During the conversation both men produced handguns.
A struggle took place between one of the robbers and an employee who suffered minor cuts. All employees were ordered to the ground while one of the gunmen broke open a display case and stole a number of items.
The men also stole items from the jewelry store safe.
The suspects fled the store and were followed, from a distance, by one of the employees. The robbers — described as being in their mid-20s — were last seen on Longfellow Street and a few hundred feet west of Gratiot.
A K-9 unit was brought in from the Troy Police Department to search the area with no results. Police have no photos or videos of the suspects at this time.
