Macomb Township — A 67-year-old Macomb Township man has been arraigned on a charge of accosting a child for immoral purposes after money was offered to a 14-year-old girl in exchange for sex.

The Macomb County sheriff’s office says Pal Rakaj also was ordered Monday to wear a GPS tether.

Deputies say the girl and some friends were operating a lemonade stand Friday during a garage sale in Macomb Township when she was approached by a man.

Another man attending the garage sale saw the girl run into her home and the man who approached her try to drive away. He pulled his vehicle in front of the man’s van.

The Associated Press was unable to find a telephone number for Rakaj. He is due back in on court Sept. 8.
