Suspects sought in robbery of Mount Clemens pharmacy

Police are investigating a Friday armed heist of a Mount Clemens pharmacy, officials said.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said police are looking for three gunmen who robbed the MI Care Pharmacy on Church Street near Gratiot Avenue.

All three covered their faces with scarvesand wore gloves.

The first suspect also wore blue jeans and a tan coat. The second wore green pants and a black coat. The third had on a black track suit, according to authorities.

Wickersham said the men entered the pharmacy’s front door at about 9:40 a.m. and ordered two employees to the rear of the store.

One of the suspects forced one of the employees to open the safe, but it was empty, police said.

The two men then grabbed various medications, put them into a mesh laundry bags and fled through the front door, Wickersham said.

Witnesses told investigators the suspects got into a newer white vehicle, possibly a Mazda or a Ford Fusion, which was parked on the west side of the pharmacy, he said.

They also told police they believed the suspects headed south on Gratiot.
