Woman, 49, hit crossing the road in Macomb Twp.
Macomb Township — A 49-year-old woman was critically injured Monday when she was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Hall Road, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
The Macomb Township resident was hit Monday evening while crossing Hall Road’s westbound lanes just east of Chateau Thierry Boulevard, Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said. She was transported to McLaren Macomb Hospital where she was last reported in critical condition.
The motorist, a 79-year-old Macomb Township woman, was driving a red 2012 Chrysler 200, officials said. The vehicle was impounded following the crash.
Portions of westbound Hall Road remained closed Monday until about 10 p.m. for the field investigation. More information about the incident is expected to be released as it becomes available, officials said.
