Clinton Township — A Clinton Township man is scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon in connection with a January shooting, township police announced.

Alfie Parker, 33, stands accused of shooting a man multiple times “in the early morning hours” on Jan. 31, after which police say he fled on foot from the area. This shooting occurred on 15 Mile between Harper and Gratiot.

At the time of the shooting, Parker was on parole for assault with intent to commit murder, police say.

On Friday, Clinton Township police, in partnership with the FBI-Macomb County Violent Crimes Task Force, arrested Parker in Detroit, said Lt. Eric Reincke.

The victim is recovering from his wounds, police say.

Parker faces life in prison if convicted on all the charges that include assault with intent to commit murder, armed robbery, a felony firearm charge and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Parker is expected to be arraigned at 1 p.m. via video in 41-B District Court in Clinton Township.
