Warren — A woman has been arraigned in connection with a knife attack on her mother at the General Motors’ technical center.

Chavonne Taylor appeared Friday in Warren District Court and was ordered held on a $500,000 bond.

She is charged with assault with intent to murder and carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent. A judge entered a not guilty plea on her behalf and ordered Taylor to get a court-appointed lawyer.

Authorities say a 32-year-old woman walked into a visitor’s area Wednesday morning at the facility and asked for her 52-year-old mother. They walked outside and the woman stabbed her mother multiple times.

The attack was stopped by a valet supervisor who pulled out his handgun and told the woman to drop the knife.
