A 28-year-old Washington Township man was arraigned Wednesday in 39th District Court in connection to a bank robbery in Roseville.

Richard Mckinney is charged with bank robbery and tampering with an electronic monitoring device.

According to police, Mckinney walked into a Comerica Bank branch at 27990 Gratiot around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, presented a note to the teller and demanded money.

The employee handed over an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect left on foot.

Mckinney was arrested around 7 p.m. Tuesday in Detroit, police said. Police had previously said Mckinney was 29 and from Mount Clemens, his former residence.

According to police, Mckinney removed a tether before the bank robbery.

Judge Catherine Steenland set bond at $200,000 cash. Mckinney returns to court Feb. 24.
