Authorities ask for help finding Macomb Township man

The Detroit News

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in finding a Macomb Township man who was last seen leaving for work Wednesday.

Gerald William McMillan, 61, was reported missing by his roommate who told deputies he had left their home on River Hill Drive for work at about 5:30 a.m., returned to get keys and his wallet and left again at about 7:30 a.m.

It’s believed he was headed to Royal Container in Oak Park, where he works, but he never arrived, said Lt. John Michalke.

Police believe he sent text messages to family members Wednesday morning, but his phone was shut off after that.

McMillan is a white male, 5 feet-7 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He was driving a white 2014 Ford Fusion with a license plate that reads 7FUE90.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Scott Cherwinski at (586) 307-9358.
