Reward doubled for missing Macomb Township 19-year-old
The reward for a missing 19-year-old Macomb Township man has been increased to $5,000, police said Monday.
Stephen McAfee was last seen at 2:30 a.m. March 10 when he left his home on Walden.
McAfee lives there with his parents and sister, according to his mother, Suzanne McAfee. A brother lives elsewhere.
Crime Stoppers said it will pay $5,000 to any anonymous tipster who helps reunite the teen with his family. That’s double the initial reward.
Suzanne McAfee said in May there were no issues leading up to her son’s disappearance
“We had a nice evening,” Suzanne McAfee said. “There weren’t problems, anything like that.”
This is the longest the family has gone without hearing from McAfee, his mother said. The man is not believed to have packed any clothing before leaving and he also left behind his cellphone charger.
McAfee is described as 6-feet, 1-inch tall, 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anonymous tipsters are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) SPEAK-UP, or text 274637, or visit www.1800speakup.org.
