Two people were taken into custody early Wednesday following a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Warren, according to police.

The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. at Eight Mile and Groesbeck, Lt. Daniel Novak of the Warren Police Department said. Westbound Eight Mile initially was closed for the investigation but has since been reopened.

Further information about the motorcyclist, including age and sex, was not immediately available.

“There was one other vehicle involved (in the crash) and the occupants of that vehicle have been taken into custody,” Novak said. “The driver and one other person.”

Novak declined to discuss why they were arrested or what charges they may face, citing the ongoing investigation.

The two in custody were not injured, he added.
