Fraser police are asking for the public’s help after an early-morning armed robbery at a Walgreens on Groesbeck.

Just before 4 a.m., a suspect entered the Walgreens on the 31100 block of Groesbeck, grabbed an iced tea, and walked to the register. That Walgreens is open 24 hours.

The suspect then removed a black and silver handgun from his waistband, pointed it at the clerk’s face, and demanded the clerk empty the cash register, according to the Fraser Police Department.

The clerk complied, putting all the money that was in the register into a bag and handing that bag over, police said.

Police said the suspect left the store, exiting by walking west through the parking lot. He is described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 225-250 pounds, with short black hair, a beard and a mustache. He wore a ball cap with protective work glasses on the cap.

Police are asking anyone with information on the man’s identity and/or whereabouts to call (586) 293-1425.
