Officials at Powell Middle School on Friday discovered a "series of online documents" on school computers, allegedly created by students and listing names including celebrities, poets, politicians, and other students to be harmed, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives responded to the school around 10 a.m. to meet with the principal and review the suspicious material, authorities said. The school is located at 62100 Jewell Road in Washington Township and is part of Romeo Community Schools.

"The list includes the names of celebrities, poets, politicians, and other students," officials said.

The detective bureau and Macomb Area Computer Enforcement (MACE) team responded Friday to investigate the validity of the threats. School officials declined to comment.
