Roseville police are seeking tips to find a suspect accused of shooting and wounding a man Thursday.

The suspect and a 50-year-old Clinton Township man started fighting outside a home on Macomb Street at about 5:10 p.m., investigators said in a statement.

“During this altercation, the suspect produced a handgun and discharged several rounds, striking the victim at least twice,” the release read.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds to a hand and groin, police said, and was being treated Thursday at a hospital and was expected to survive.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspect run northwest from the scene near Church and Oakdale.

Michigan State Police helped search with a K-9 unit.

Authorities describe the man as bald, African-American and 45-50 years old. He was last seen wearing a green coat with a fur trim around the hood.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Roseville Police Department at (586) 447-4507 or (586) 447-4484.
