Parolee charged in child porn case

A 31-year-old Chesterfield Township man faces numerous felony counts after he allegedly stored child pornography on his home computer, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.

Nicholas Scott Reynolds, 31, was arraigned Friday in 42-2 District Court on one count each of child sexually abusive activity, use of a computer to commit a crime, possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime. Bond was set at $200,000.

According to officials, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office received a criminal complaint on March 15 from a Macomb Township resident.

Detectives conducted a search warrant of Reynolds’ Chesterfield Township home where officials said they found electronic media containing numerous child pornography images.

Reynolds was arrested in a Chesterfield Township parking lot near 23 Mile and Gratiot, officials said. He is on parole out of the state of Illinois.
