U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, also known as TACOM, in Warren, Michigan.

Residents who live near the U.S. Army's Detroit Arsenal in Warren shouldn't be alarmed if they hear gunfire Tuesday.

Army officials said the installation will be conducting an emergency response training exercise beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Simulated gunfire will be used in the exercise, they said.

The exercise is designed to test the ability of the Army and community emergency personnel to react to an active shooter situation on the installation, located on 11 Mile at Mound roads in Warren.
