A 36-year-old woman has died and three others are injured in a crash Saturday in Roseville where police say a driver lost control of their vehicle.

The incident occurred at 12:25 p.m. at the intersection of Groesbeck and Martin Road. Police say a 2004 Silver Grand Prix was stopped at Groesbeck heading west on Martin Road when it was struck from behind by a 2005 Silver Pacifica.

The Grand Prix was pushing into the north travel lanes of Groesbeck and the Pacifica stopped at the southeast corner of Martin and Groesbeck.

The driver of the Pacifica, a 36-year-old Roseville resident, was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead. The front passenger of the Pacifica, a 66-year-old female, was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The rear passenger, a 6-year-old boy, had minor injuries, was treated at the scene and was turned over to a family member.

The single driver in the Grand Prix was transported to the hospital for nonlife threatening injuries.

Police said it appears the driver of the Pacifica lost control of her vehicle for an unknown reason.

The Roseville Police Department is investigating the crash. All traffic lanes on north and southbound Groesbeck at Martin were closed for four hours Saturday during the investigation.
