Police: Man, 75, drove drunk during fatal Clinton Twp. crash
A 75-year-old St. Clair Shores man is facing felony charges after allegedly driving drunk Saturday night and killing a motorcyclist on a Clinton Twp. road, police say.
Edward Stanley Gray has been arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, causing death, a 15-year felony. He was arraigned Monday in the 41-B District Court in Clinton Twp.
Police say Gray was driving his 2015 black Chevrolet Malibu north on Harper when he collided with a 2014 Harley-Davidson traveling southbound. The impact threw the driver, 46-year-old Carl Evans, from the bike, police say. Medics took him to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The Clinton Twp. resident had not been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police say.
