Roseville police are investigating the shooting of a man who was waiting for a bus, officials said Thursday.

The incident happened at 12 Mile and Gratiot Thursday morning. A 30-year-old Detroit man sustained at least one gunshot wound to his right hand, police said.

Roseville firefighters took the man to a hospital where he is listed in temporary serious condition, according to Police Chief James Berlin.

The man told police he was standing in the parking lot of a gas station waiting for a southbound Gratiot bus when he felt pain on his hand. Officials said the man told police he looked down and saw the wound on his hand.

He also told investigators he didn't see anyone fire a gun at him and he doesn't know of any enemies who want to harm him, according to authorities.

Anyone who has any information about the incident should call Roseville Police at (586) 447-4483.
