Shelby Township police are searching for a suspect who exposed himself to a woman, officials said.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his mid-20s, 6 feet tall, thin build and shaved hair, police said. He was driving a silver vehicle with black trim, possibly a Jeep Liberty.

The incident happened at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday on 22 Mile near Shelby Road, according to authorities.

Police said the victim told officers the suspect's vehicle followed her from River Bends Park. The vehicle passed her and then stopped in front of the victim's car.

He then got out of his car and approached her vehicle, officials said, reached inside of her car window and touched her leg. The woman told police the man had also exposed himself to her, they said.

As she tried to leave in her vehicle, the suspect attempted to get into her car, police said.

The man then fled the scene in his vehicle, officials said.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect should call Shelby Township Police at (586) 731-2121, ext. 333.
