A 30-year-old Mount Clemens woman has been charged after leading sheriff's deputies on a chase Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith has charged her with unlawful driving away of a vehicle, a five-year felony; third-degree fleeing a police officer, also a five-year felony; resisting arrest, a two-year felony; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, causing serious injury, a five-year felony, authorities said.

The woman is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges in court later this week, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Authorities have not yet released her name.

Deputies were called to a business near North Avenue and 21 Mile in Macomb Township to respond to a report of a stolen vehicle at about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, officials said.

The victim told deputies he was making a delivery to the business when he left his vehicle, a white Ford pickup truck, running and unlocked. He also told them he saw a woman get into the vehicle and drive away.

Deputies searched the area and located the vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 94, officials said.

They pursued the truck, which crashed into a blue Ford Escape and a red GMC Terrain at Harper Avenue and Quinn Road in Clinton Township, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect was taken into custody and is in a hospital receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The other drivers in the crash were also taken to a hospital. One of the drivers has been released and the other is still being treated for non-threatening injuries, officials said.
