A 30-year-old Mount Clemens woman was arraigned Friday on charges stemming from a police pursuit in a stolen vehicle earlier this week.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office charged Stephanie Martin with four felonies with a $25,000 bond. Shelby Township's district court arraigned Martin Friday at the hospital, where she remains in custody, as she receives medical treatment following a crash that resulted from the pursuit.

Martin is charged with one count of unlawful driving away in a motor vehicle, third-degree fleeing a police officer in a vehicle, and operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, each of which carries five-year maximums. Martin also faces a two-year charge for obstructing a police officer.

Macomb County Sheriff deputies responded to a business at 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday near North Avenue and 21 Mile Road, after someone reported a white female had stolen his Ford pickup. The truck was left running and unlocked while the victim was making a delivery to the business.

Police located the stolen truck traveling westbound on Interstate 94. A pursuit ensued, ending when Martin allegedly crashed the stolen vehicle into a blue Ford Escape and red GMC Terrian at Harper Avenue and Quinn Road in Clinton Township.

Police took Martin into custody at the hospital, where she is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries. The other drivers were also treated at the hospital. One was released, and the other, according to police, still is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Martin is scheduled to return to court at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 for a probable cause conference.
