A purse snatcher was nabbed by a couple of good Samaritans after striking at a Roseville grocery store, police said Thursday.

Officials said the man, Ricky Allen Bielet, 53, from New Baltimore, was arrested. He was charged with larceny, disturbing the peace, and failure to be fingerprinted inside the 39th District Court on Thursday.

The alleged theft happened at about 1:49 p.m. Wednesday at a Kroger grocery store on 13 Mile and Little Mack, according to authorities.

Police said the suspect took an elderly woman's purse from her unattended grocery cart and ran out of the store.

Two bystanders chased the suspect. They apprehended and detained him until police officers arrived and placed him into custody, officials said.

Bond was set at $50,000 and Bielet is currently in custody at the Macomb County Jail. His next court date is Oct. 17.
