Police: Roseville home intruder fought neighbor, resisted arrest
A 38-year-old man who allegedly broke into a Roseville home fought with a neighbor who tried to stop him, then resisted arrest, according to police.
A resident alerted officers that someone had broken into a house on Bohnhoff at about 11:35 a.m. Thursday and was causing damage, investigators said in a statement.
A neighbor responded and tried to subdue the intruder, according to the release. Police identified Jamill Jenkins of Shelby Township as the suspect.
Officers found the two men wrestling on the floor.
Jenkins then refused to follow the officers' commands and a Taser was used on him, authorities said.
Jenkins was arraigned by 39th District Court Judge Joseph Boedeker on a breaking and entering charge, public records show. Bond was set at $10,000.
He remains at the Macomb County Jail. A court hearing is scheduled on Oct. 31.
