Roseville police seek man who robbed Citizens Bank

Roseville — Police are searching for the person who robbed a bank Wednesday, officials said.

Roseville police are looking for a man who robbed a bank on Gratiot Avenue near Frazho Road at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The robbery happened at about 4:30 p.m. at the Citizens Bank branch located at 26000 Gratiot near Frazho, according to authorities.

PThe man who robbed the bank was in the lobby at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday and appeared to be speaking to someone over a mobile phone, police said. After a few minutes, he left, officials said.

He then returned to the bank at 4:30 p.m. and approached a teller, they said. The man demanded cash and the teller complied. He left the bank in an unknown direction.

Witnesses said the man appeared to be talking on his phone during the entire encounter, according to police.

Officials said no one was injured. They also said a weapon was never seen and the man never implied he had one.

The robber is is described as black, about 30 years old, 5-feet-5-inches tall with a thin-to-medium build. He also had facial hair on his chin. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, black shoes and a gray baseball cap.
