Coast Guard seeks missing man in river float down
Port Huron — The U.S. Coast Guard said authorities are searching for 19-year-old man who disappeared while participating in the St. Clair River during the annual Float Down.
Lt. Kelly Ridle said Brady Morton was with a group of people who were taking part Sunday’s event. She said she didn’t know his hometown.
Ridle of the Coast Guard Ninth District in Cleveland said that the people who were with Morton couldn’t say when they last saw him.
The lieutenant said a Coast Guard helicopter and boats from several agencies were involved in the search.
People in tubes and rafts entered the U.S.-Canada border river Sunday at Lighthouse Beach in Port Huron. They were exiting at Chrysler Beach in Marysville.
