East Lansing — Police continue Wednesday to investigate the death of a 21-year-old Michigan State University student who collapsed at an apartment near campus.

Navanjeet Sahi, of Novi, was with friends at the apartment in the 200 block of Cedar at about 7:23 p.m. Tuesday when he collapsed and became unresponsive, said Lt. Scott Wriggelsworth with the East Lansing Police Department.

Wriggelsworth said Sahi’s friends tried to resuscitate him after he collapsed and stopped breathing.

Police and firefighters were called, performed CPR and took him to a hospital, where he died.

Police said there doesn’t appear to be any signs of foul play.
