Reward grows for missing Monroe woman
Newport — The parents and sisters of a woman who disappeared last month from a Halloween party are pleading for her safe return as authorities increase the reward for information in the case.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan says the reward for leads in the search for Chelsea Bruck is about $17,000. Matt and Leannda Bruck and three of their daughters appeared at a news conference in Newport on Monday asking anyone with information to come forward.
Matt Bruck asks whoever may have his daughter to release her.
The Monroe County sheriff’s department says there’s no evidence the 22-year-old was hurt or killed, but her Oct. 26 disappearance has prompted searches in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
The party in Frenchtown Township drew about 600 people. Bruck attended dressed as the comic villain Poison Ivy and was wearing a leaf-covered top and dark purple wig.
