Police: Woman drives drunk to jail, ends up behind bars

Bay City, Mich. – — Police say a 49-year-old woman who drove drunk to the Bay County Jail ended up getting put behind bars at the facility.

The Bay City Times reports sheriff’s deputies around 1:45 a.m. Saturday spotted a car parked using two spaces in the lot that was partially in a snowbank. Undersheriff Troy Cunningham says the woman was found passed out behind the wheel of the car, which was still running.

Cunningham says several alcohol containers were found inside the car. The woman told police she was heading to Bay City when she stopped.

The woman was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. She was released Saturday, pending arraignment.
