Farmington, Maine — Authorities suspect that a Michigan man wanted in connection with the death of his wife stayed at a Maine motel last month.

The U.S. Marshals Service in Grand Rapids tells the Lewiston Sun Journal that 66-year-old Harold “Butch” Knight stayed at the Town and Lake Motel in Rangeley from Jan. 15 to Jan. 19, but where he went from there is unknown.

Knight and his wife, Sara Lee Knight, lived in Turner, Maine, for several years.

Michigan police say Harold Knight strangled his wife at their Fennville, Michigan, home. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police said Knight’s vehicle was found in the parking lot of a Walmart in Farmington on Jan. 31.

Knight is considered armed and dangerous.
