Temps could reach 40s in Metro Detroit next week
There will be a gradual warm-up beginning this weekend and a stretch clear of big storm systems, the National Weather Service said. .

“ “... Then we warm up into the 30s for the weekend,” said Sara Schultz, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Monday and Tuesday should bring some of the warmest weather in recent weeks, with temperatures in the 40s.
“Break out the shorts,” Schultz said.
Clouds, however, will accompany the warmer temperatures.
“We do get cloudy again for this weekend,” Schultz said. “Although I’ll take clouds if it’s going to be warmer.”
The region should be spared the storms bringing a mix of precipitation stretching from the southern Plains to New England.
“That will stay to our south, and actually through the next seven days we’re not looking at any big systems coming through,” Schultz said. “We have a few chances for some snow showers here and there, but no big systems.”
