24-hour dance marathon boosts pediatric rehabilitation
Associated Press
Ann Arbor — A 24-hour dance marathon is taking place in Ann Arbor to support pediatric rehabilitation services at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Beaumont Children’s Hospital.
The Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan’s event starts Saturday afternoon and runs until Sunday afternoon at the school’s indoor track and field facility.
The nonprofit works to raise money and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation at C.S. Mott in Ann Arbor and Beaumont in Royal Oak. Therapy at the hospitals helps children with mental, physical, and emotional disabilities to work through their challenges.
As part of a yearlong program, teams of 15 to 20 college students raise money and work with children. The dance marathon caps off the effort.
