— Police in East Lansing responded to a small street fire and the gathering of hundreds of people after Michigan State defeated Oklahoma to advance to the next round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Lansing State Journal says three people, ages 19 and 20, were arrested early Saturday in an area of student apartments near the eastern edge of campus.

Police told the newspaper that the scene was under control within 15 minutes of the fire, and the crowd broke up. The Cedar Village neighborhood has a history of rowdy, alcohol-fueled incidents after big games in football and basketball.
