3 die on same day from suspected Fentanyl-laced heroin

Bedford Township — Authorities in southeast Michigan say they suspect the deaths of three heroin users are linked to injecting drugs laced with Fentanyl.
Monroe County Sheriff Dale Malone says that two people died in Bedford Township and one died in Frenchtown Township on Tuesday after shooting up heroin.
Malone says he’s awaiting autopsy results to see if the three used heroin containing Fentanyl, a pain-killing drug 10 times stronger than heroin.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has issued a nationwide alert warning people about widespread street sales of Fentanyl-laced heroin.
The sheriff’s department says Malone wants “anyone who is currently using any drugs to stop immediately and seek assistance.”
