Woman crashes car into empty pool in Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids — Police say a woman accidentally drove her car into an empty pool in Grand Rapids.

Bystanders and police look at a car that ended up in a Wyoming resident's pool Sunday, May 24, 2015, due to an elderly woman accidentally driving her vehicle through a fence while at the CVS pharmacy window off 28th St. in Wyoming, Mich. Police stated she accidentally went in reverse and that she did not suffer from any major injuries.

The Grand Rapids Press reports the woman crashed her car through a fence and into the pool Sunday afternoon while sitting at the drive-thru of a pharmacy. According to police, she accidently put her car in reverse and hit the gas, sending the car through the fence.

Police say the woman has taken to a hospital. The car was removed from the pool by a towing company.
