Two men were arrested Thursday in connection to a York Township home invasion and double homicide Saturday morning, according to Michigan State Police.

A 25-year-old man from Dundee and a 33-year-old man from Monroe are being held in the Washtenaw County Jail pending an arraignment expected Friday in 14A District Court, state police said in a statement.

Five victims were stabbed during the home invasion around 6 a.m. Saturday at a home on Crane Road south of Willis Road in York Township, police said. Two were killed while three remain hospitalized.

Sharon Hush, 33, of Indian River identified her best friend Vicki Moore, 31, as one of the injured victims. Moore, of Indian River, had 14 stab wounds to her back, chest and side and other lacerations, Hush said. Moore’s son, Timber Brown, 12, and his half brother, Jonathan Brown, 26, were killed in the attack.

Hush said Moore had arranged for herself, her son and his half brother to stay in the York Township home recommended by a friend after plans to camp at the Michigan International Speedway during weekend races were thwarted by the rain. They were planning to camp in a tent at the speedway but changed their minds after rainstorms swept through the area, Hush said.

The three joined another of Moore’s friends and her children at the house, Hush said.

Moore underwent surgery Sunday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital near Ann Arbor, Hush said.

Moore, who is engaged, also has a young daughter. Moore’s fiancé and the girl were not at the York Township home at the time of the attack.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the state police Brighton Post at (810) 227-1051.

Hush started a crowd-funding page on the GoFundMe website to help Moore. The page had raised more than $4,700 by late Thursday morning.
