Thunderstorms are headed to southeast Michigan late Saturday afternoon, breaking up what’s been a hot, humid day in Metro Detroit.

Around 5 p.m., some isolated storms are expected to move into the area and turn into scattered thunderstorms between 6 and 7 p.m., weather officials said.

The forecast calls for on and off thunderstorms through 11 p.m. on Saturday and for temperatures to drop into the 70s as the evening goes on.

Sunday will be partly cloudy, with a high of 86. Clear skies at night with a low of 66 degrees.
