Man, 49, dies while swimming in Lake Superior
Hancock — Authorities say a 49-year-old man has died while swimming in Lake Superior near the shore of McLain State Park in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
The Houghton County sheriff’s department says it responded Wednesday to a report of a stranded swimmer yelling for help along the park, which is located between Hancock and Calumet. A nearby surfer helped the swimmer back to shore at the park and began CPR.
WLUC-TV reports Andrew Kneeshaw of Grand Blanc was pronounced dead at a hospital.
