Flint — A Flint woman whose twins died about two months apart is returning to court for her sentence after pleading no contest to second-degree murder.

Crystal Shelton-Randolph’s 2-year-old son, Jordan, died in 2013 from blunt force trauma. She faces up to life in prison but likely will get a sentence Wednesday that carries a chance for parole.

Another child, Ja’Mya Shelton, died a few months earlier. Her death was linked to an undetermined form of asphyxiation, but investigators took another look after her brother’s death.

The 25-year-old Shelton-Randolph was charged with murder, but that case was dismissed when a judge said there wasn’t enough evidence.
