Body found at MSU identified as missing student
East Lansing — A body found on Michigan State University’s south campus has been identified as a male student who apparently killed himself, the school said Thursday.
The student, whose body was found Wednesday in a wooded area east of the Baker Woodlot, was reported missing early Saturday.
In a news release, MSU said the campus police found information the student posted on social media that indicated he planned to take his own life. Foul play is not suspected.
School officials said counseling is available for anyone on campus affected by the student’s death at the MSU Counseling Center. More information is available at counseling.msu.edu.
