Beaumont’s Detroit-area programs for children get $1 million boost
Royal Oak — Beaumont Health’s programs for children in the Detroit area are getting a $1 million boost.
Beaumont Children’s recently announced the funding from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a charity that works with children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
The funding supports transportation incubators, phototherapy blankets and bed warmers, school programs, concussion screening, child safety seat replacements, adaptive bikes for special needs children and other services at a variety of Beaumont locations.
Since 1988, the Children’s Miracle Network campaign has raised $64 million for Beaumont’s programs for children. To highlight the partnership, four “Beau the Bear” statues are being placed at Beaumont locations including Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
