State gets $2.4M for conservation, recreation projects
Lansing — Michigan is getting more than $2.4 million in federal funding for conservation and recreation projects.
Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Dingell of Michigan says the money announced by the U.S. Department of the Interior is from the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The fund was founded five decades ago and has preserved public lands and natural resources across the country.
In December, Congress provided a three-year renewal of the fund. Dingell is among those who want permanent reauthorization of the fund.
